Vico Sotto regularized 100 contractual employees on his birthday

Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto on Wednesday announced the regularization of 100 contractual city hall employees with over 20 years of service.

The mayor earlier said this was part of efforts to end patronage politics in the city.

"May streetsweeper, may engineering aide... lahat sila, mahigit 20 taon nanatiling kontraktwal sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Pasig," Sotto said in a Facebook post.

"I am happy to announce: wala nang naiwan na kontraktwal sa mga empleyado nating mahigit 20 years nang nasa serbisyo," he added.

"Delayed by COVID-19, our employee regularization program continues," Sotto said.
