A bone cancer patient with one leg had to walk from Masinag in Antipolo City to a checkpoint along Marcos Highway to get to the hospital for a check-up.

Amid the ongoing ‘Enhance Community Quarantine’ in Luzon declared by President Rodrigo Duterte as prevention from the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The new quarantine measures are still aiming to contain the spread of the virus. This entails strict home quarantine, suspension of transportation, regulation of food and essential health services provision, and heightened presence of uniformed personnel.

Meanwhile, Cynthia Esperitu diagnosed with bone cancer and had only one leg had to walk from Masinag in Antipolo City to government checkpoint amid ongoing enhance community quarantined due to coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to the report of GMA New, Cynthia was diagnosed with bone cancer and need to undergo monthly check-up at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) in Ermita, Manila.

“May bone cancer po kasi ako, kelangan ko magpa checkup every month,” she said.

In a post of GMA Public Affairs Facebook, Cynthia said that some will pick her up from the checkpoint to bring her to PGH. “May sundo naman po ako,” she said. Cynthia has only one leg and walks with the help of crutches.
